Opium JW van de Moerhoeve is of the jumping sensations of the year. His jumping ability combined with his incredible bloodlines make him a very suitable stallion for international breeding. His carefulness and quick reflexes are combined with a lot of scope and a super mind.

Sire Kannan is for many years already one of the best producers of international grand prix horses. In the pedigree of Opium there are many performance sires with stallions like Nabab de Rêve, Chin Chin and Quidam de Revel. His dam Ischgl de Muze jumped at international level with Joe Clee and she not only produced Opium JW van de Moerhoeve but also the approved stallion Mumbai van de Moerhoeve. Opiums grand dam is very famous in Holland. She is the mare VDL Groep Eureka and with her rider Maikel van der Vleuten she was senior champion of the Netherlands at Mierlo in 2014.

Great grand dam Beauty-belle van ‘t Roosakker is a daugther of the world famous Goliath Z-offspring La Belle van Sombeke. La Belle is the foundation mother of many international grand prix horses.

Opium JW van de Moerhoeve jumped super rounds at the World Championships for Young Horses at Lanaken and finished in 4th place with Willem Greve. With his amazing jumping talent and top pedigree, the stallion Opium JW vd Moerhoeve will become a very valuable breeding sire. Currently, Opium JW van de Moerhoeve is ridden by American rider Lillie Keenan.

Sire: Kannan

Kannan's pedigree is a succession of greats from Dutch breeding with Voltaire, Nimmerdor and Le Mexico. Stallions that each guarantee the inheritance of excellent jumping qualities. Kannan's mother is Cemeta, a keur, preferent, performance mare by Nimmerdor out of the preferent mare Wozieta.

Kannan can look back on a successful career in top sport. Under the saddle of Michel Hecart, he won the French title in 2005 and took part in the European Championships in San Patrignano that same year. In addition, Kannan won the Grand Prix in Deauville, finished 2nd in the Grand Prix of Gijon, La Courneuve and Vichy and was part of the French team that won the Nations Cup competitions in Lisbon and La Baule.

As a sire, Kannan is one of the best showjumping horse suppliers in the world and is 7th in the WBFSH world ranking for show jumpers. Kannan owes this result to a large number of children who shine in the international show jumping sport, including the Olympic Champion and World Cup winner Nino des Buissonnets. Molly Malone has won several Grand Prix and World Cup competitions. Quabri de L‘Isle won the opening round of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and won several Grand Prix and Nations Cups. Quorida de Treho twice won the Helsinki World Cup and the Grand Prix of St. Gallen and Paris, etc.
